I led research and design teams that produce great design solutions with strong brand appeal users love and continue to purchase year after year.
I have over 12+ years’ experience designing and leading research and design teams for various industries. My background is diverse and includes qualitative and quantitative user research (UX), user interface (UI) design, interaction design (IXD), visual design, front-end development, graphic design and marketing. Whether an adventurous startup or established global presence, the same level of detail and quality is delivered.
I create user flows, site maps, mockups, wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile products using popular design programs and coding with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
I approach problems creatively and constructively using qualitative and quantitative research methods as well as good old fashion intuition and design knowledge.
Whether it's design critiques or brainstorming sessions, I work closely with stakeholders, developers, designers, and customers so I have a better understanding of the whole picture of a design project.
I tell stories about users to better understand the emotional side of their experiences so I can better empathize with them. And I'm a published author. Go to my Author website.
I care deeply about learning what drives users and simplifying their workflows using products or websites. I do it by following UCD process and qualitative and quantitive research.
I understand things change, especially in an agile world. It never fails something happens last minute. So I strive to remain flexible and adaptable throughout the entire design process.
Happy Customers
Being a great leader isn’t about me. It’s about the great people who are working with me….The best leaders understand that long-term results are created by all of the great people doing the work — not just the one person who has the privilege of being at the top.
How I Built Great TeamsMy process is adaptive and collaborative. It challenges designers to be open and share ideas. Fostering a safe design culture has consistently produced amazing work and happy teams. However, regardless of the product, service, or problem these are steps that designer must always take.
Define the user problem and goals.
Research what is causing the problem.
